The popular free Concert Series returns to downtown Lexington in Davidson Park this summer!
The downtown sounds of summer continue hosted by the Lexington-Rockbridge Jaycees. The “Friday’s Alive concert series” which is the premier summer staple of Lexington community entertainment will once again host FREE outdoor concerts in gorgeous Davidson Park. A special THANKS goes to the assistance and support of the City of Lexington, Washington and Lee University and the Chamber of Commerce.
Many of your favorites of years past return once again. The band plays from 6-9pm each evening. Seating (your chairs and blankets of course!) will begin around 5:30pm or earlier for those prime shaded seats! Admission is free and the Jaycees suggest you come early and stay late! PLEASE remember, no outside food, drink or pets are allowed–all proceeds from sales go to local charities. The charities for the 2013 Friday’s Alive Concert Series are the Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center – Buena Vista and the Rockbridge SPCA.
Mark your calendars for this year’s concert dates and performing bands:
